Revathi Srinivasraghavan is an acclaimed choreographer, teacher, and performer of Bharatanatyam. Her tutelage has been under Guru Komalavalli Krishnamani, Kalaimamani Shri Kadirvelu Pillai, and S. P. Srinivasan and has also attended several workshops conducted by Padma Bhushan Smt. Kalanidhi Narayanan to learn abhinaya. She has also undergone training in folk dance. Currently she continues with Shri Satish Krishnamurthy for her collaborative work.

     Revathi holds a Master’s degree in Fine Arts and is a Nritya Alankar from the Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal.

     Revathi is the Founder and Director of Nrityaranjani Fine Arts Academy which is one of the leading institutes of Bharatnatyam training in Mumbai since the last 27 years.

     A graded artist of the Doordarshan, she has also carved a niche for herself by her style of fusing complicated rhythms and cross rhythms within her dances, using her acquired knowledge of music.

     As a choreographer, Revathi has experimented with a wide variety of themes and has directed several dance ballets such as Panchabhootam, Nrithya Laya, Rudra Natyam, Bhakti Vaibhavam to name a few.

     Nritya Laya, a unique presentation of Bharatanatyam based on Mridangam jatis, conceptualized and choreographed by Smt. Revathi and Sri Satish Krishnamurthy has been presented at many forums including Experimental Theater at NCPA, Chidambaram Natyanjali, to name a few.

     She has had the privilege of rendering solo and group performances with her students and has staged several of her productions around different parts of the country and abroad.

     She has been conferred with several titles. Being honoured as Shiledar Rashtriyanirmitiche - Contributors in Nation Building 2014 by Prasar Bharati – Doordarshan, was a moment of pride.
